hi.. richard~!
how are you doing?
is everything all right with you?
i guess it has been quite a while to hear from you...
it's valentine's day..
when i went shopping couple of hours ago.. many people were buying..
presents for their girl/boyfriend... mostly.. chocolates..
how's your valentine's day?
last wednesday was new year's day in lunar month..
during whole week news showed bunch of cars heading towards hometown
and
back to seoul..
do you remember that you told me about the movie, 'Goodbye Lenin'?
during the holiday.. i saw the movie on tv...
actually.. in korea.. it's hard to see european movies.. and the other
half
is from hollywood..
as far as i remember... in canada.. we can see some europeans movies and
movies from the third world..
but.. here.. i can hardly see them..
talking about the movie....
i liked it quite a lot.. the movie made me think about which one is
better.. the reality or the world made from illusion
i'm not sure whether i told you before that people often call me an
idealist..
yes.. it's true.. but i don't think it's a bad thing...
i believe that the world can be a better place because there are
idealistic
people...
in the movie.. the son (i forgot his name..) makes up all the lies for
his
mother..
if i had seen the movie.. couple of years ago.. i would have thought
that
his good lies made his mother's life happy.. but.. watching movies.. i
thought that she should have known the reality..
because.. that is real world.. where she has to live in..
i don't know what changed my mind like this..
maybe.. i become more practical as getting older...
one of my friends is getting married next week..
what surprised me was that her fiance is chinese...
still.. in korea.. it's not frequent to see someone's getting married
with
foreigners..
she met him in paris while studying there..
and she will be living in china with him.. so i joked with her that her
life is
so international...
at first.. i was quite curious whether they can understand each other
well...
because my friend can't speak any chinese and her fiance can't speak
korean..
and she has learned french only for about two years... his french is
not
also fluent as native speakers..
but she told me that they could communicate better than other people
because
their heart is so connected..
when she told me this.. i thought of you..
although i don't speak very good english.. i felt that you and i are so
connected.. and the time when we talked together means more than
anything
else.. to me..
and i thought you are the one who understands me even better compared to
when
i speak with some people in korean..
p.s.
i'm attaching some photos of chocolates...
although i can't give you real gifts.. i'm sending it with all my
heart..
