hi.. richard~!
i'm still in sunchon.. i changed my plan...
i will stay whole summer here in sunchon..
so sorry for letting you know this late....
but don't worry too much~!~!
i called the manager.. and asked him to take care of my mails...
i'm pretty sure that i can see your photos after i came back to seoul..
it might be late august...
i'm so curious what your paintings would be like..
and about Amber too!!!!!
whenever you sent me her drawings.. i really wanted to see her once...
i believe that you are a good uncle to her..
she might be grateful for you that you took her to the campus after she
grow up
and become a college student.. when i look back on my childhood.. i
remember
that my cousins brought me to a college (most of my cousins are much
older
than me.. they are thirties or fourties...) because of the big age gap
between my parents and my uncles and aunts..)
although i didn't know what kind of places they were.. it was a good
experience.. i think...
and now.. for me... all of them are happy memories...
anyway.. i hope that i can see her photo next month.. (and herself as
well... sometime in the future..)
it's been raining for days..
this time of year is the raining season in korea..
couple of days ago... it rained cats and dogs..
there also was thunderstorm.. and because of it.. a blackout happened..
it lasted for about thirty minutes...
i was pretty scared... but at the same time.. i enjoyed it...
we lighted up the candle.. for a while.. the candle lights were
pretty...
the weather forecast said it will rain until next week..
a few weeks ago..
i saw the movie, 'Amelie' on a cable channel...
do you remember that we saw it together?
i liked the movie when i saw it first time.. but i liked it more this
time..
actually.. i like to watch a movie which i saw before... better than
watch a
new movie..
although i know what is gonna happen in the movie.. i can find some
details.. that i missed when i saw it first time..
besides... what i felt from the movie always changes when i see them
again..
i saw the movie 'Shawshank redemption' and 'Dead poet's society' more
than
20 times..
by the way..
the movie 'Goodbye Lenin' is not playing here...
it's a little hard to find european movies in korean theatres..
the movies that they are playing are mostly.. korean and from
hollywood..
do you know the korean movie.. 'Old Boy'?
it got the grand prix in Cannes film festival 2004..
i saw it last year.. but i didn't like it that much..
because there were so many cruel scenes..
the cinematography was really impressive.. though..
it was released last november.. and many people like it..
i heard that the movie will be playing in states and canada.. so check
it
out..
and i didn't watch 'the passion of the christ'.. it played last
april...
i read from a newspaper that the movie was a big controversy there
but it didn't make that huge impact in korean society...
i believe... it was because korean society is not much based on
christianity...
the summer vacation will end in the end of august..
so until then.. i'm gonna spend summer with my family and recharge
myself
for the next semester~!! ^___________^
hope everything is all right with you..
and good luck with your paintings.. (don't forget that i'm always your
big
fan~!!!)
say hi to amber.. and tell her that i want to see her sometime...
bye for now..
miss you more than ever...
