hi.. richard~!
it's been a long time...
i'm sorry for the late answer...
and i got your last email... actually.. twice.. ^-^
i've been pretty busy with my thesis
but finally.. it's over..
last thursday.. i had a defence for my thesis.. and it passed..
i'll get my degree.. in august...
to be honest.. i'm not very happy.. although i'm graduating..
i think.. maybe it's because of the exam.. that i had prepared..
actually.. i have no regrets..
while i was studying for it.. i was so overwhelmed..
everyday was like a hell.. because of too much stress..
moreover.. i had to study something that i was not interested in at
all.. to
pass the exam..
now.. i feel more peaceful.. and happy with what i'm studying for..
after graduating.. i can get a job as an english teacher.. in a private
high
school...
but in korea.. teaching in a private school is not very stable..
so.. usually.. people think it is better to work in a public school..
and to work in a public school.. i should pass an exam.. which is in
december..
you might think that it's another exam..!!
but.. it's the reality in korea...
anyhow.. i'll try my best to pass it this time.. and please pray for me..

i've got the photos you sent last time.. 'japanese gothic'
to tell the truth.. i couldn't understand your painting at the first
glance...
but i looked at it again and again...
and i realized that the aerial spire seemed like a symbol which shows
the
highly developed technology.. especially in japan.. which is one of
the
leading countries of modern technology..
and i think i've learned that gothic architectural technology was one
of
high techs in gothic times.. in my high school days.. is it right?
so.. the glow of the neon sign in japanese street goes well with the
spire..
actually.. i wanna hear other interpretations.. especially from japanese
people...
have you shown it to any japanese?
i think it might be interesting...

these days.. in korea.. everybody is talking about the soccer games...
you know.. world cup is held in germany...
if i turn on the tv.. i can see many tv programs.. about soccer or
world
cup..
this is because of the unexpected results in 2002 world cup..
i enjoyed watching soccer games at that time.. and i still do..
but it's too hyped up... i mean.. everybody is not interested in
anything
but soccer...
so many important issues are all around.. such as FTA between korea and
usa...
north korea's provoking missile launch... and some domestic issues..
but if i say it like this.. people might think i'm unpatriotic.. -_____-
sometimes.. i feel.. collectivism in korean society is fearful..
on monday morning.. (it's 4am in korea..) there will be a game between
korea and france..
and people are so expecting it.. and i think many people will be
wearing red
tshirt (which stands for korean soccer team).. and cheering for the
soccer
players on the street..

i guess.... i speak too much..
and i think it is probably.. i haven't talked to you for a long time..
i miss you a lot.. and miss the little chat we had..
summer is around.. it's getting hot little by little..
although you don't like this kind of weather.. try to like it..!!
i didn't like rainy weather.. before i went to canada... actually.. i
hated
rainy days..
but now.. i like rainy days.. (i don't love them.. though)
i think if you try to like sunny days.. you might have good time during
summer...
bye for now...
see you soon...

p.s.
is your address same with the one before?
i'm planning to send you something..
and i'm wondering whether your address is the same..
please let me know... ^-^
