the picture reminded me the national beaver day..
whenever the national beaver day comes.. i feel like we are sharing
something that other people don't know.. isn't it amazing?
and i got the photos of your painting safely..
the picture of dial soap was pretty interesting...
in my childhood.. people in korea thought that dial soap is something
expensive and represents that someone using the soap is special and
different from others..
i think people had that kind of stereotype because korean people
thought
that the soap is popular in US..
people here admire something American...
i think same mechanism works in Mcdonald hamburger and coca cola..
when these junk food was introduced in asian countries.. people had a
certain kind of illusion that we can be like americans if we eat them..
at
least.. we get closer to american way of life
but considering that american people find them in their everyday life
so
easily.. they are not something special any more for them.. sometimes
it is
even thought that JUNK FOOD as it is literally..
compare to the 20 years ago.. i can hardly find someone who use dial
soap
now....
i'm off the track a little.. hehehe..
anyway.. i think the way you delivered the message of fidel castros'
brainwashing through using the image of dial soap is so clever!! now..
i'm
on the right track.. right?
so many things happened in korea lately..
two weeks ago.. it snowed so heavily.. that cars were stuck on the
highway all night..
it must be a nightmare for them..
but people who i saw in campus liked it so much.. snowfighting..
the climate all over the world is going crazy..
yesterday it was warm like in the middle of may.. but today.. is minus
degree in celcius..
and from the last weekend.. all the people and tv channels are talking
about
presidential impeachment issue.. most people were against the
impeachment..
but the members of opposition parties agreed on it..
they are abusing their power which is granted from us...
anyhow.. all across the peninsula.. is in controversy..
how's everything in canada?
when i just got back from canada two years ago.. i was so interested in
what's happening in canada.. but as time goes by.. the time i spent on
reading canadian newspapers on the internet gets less and less..
hope everything goes well there..
and i'm waiting for your next work..
i'm curious about what it is about..
but don't work too hard..!!
