'Up the Yangtze' at the Ridge, with Heather
Tea & conversation on Arbutus. A big, bright
cold moon, mist in the air, a few dragon
clouds & a little pink in the sky. Talked to
Vesna, who is upset about Kosovo
20th (Wednesday) [Myles Shoes #2]
Myle with a migraine this morning. Put my
hand on her head & felt the 'pulse'. Brought
her Aquafina & strawberry candy. Vesna called
and said I should go up & see the lunar
eclipse. Jasmina & her daughters were already
there, on the roof, checking it out...
21st (Thursday) [Myles Shoes #2]
A sort of lunar eclipse hangover. Crocusts
in full bloom on Burnaby, near Cardero
22nd (Friday) [Myles Shoes #2]
Very warm day. Told Agnes Chow I'd bring
the portrait next Friday, & that no, she
didn't have to promise she'd never sell it
But she did anyway. 'I'm not that sort of
person.' Myle looking very lovely today, all
in black. Showed me 'the numbers'. Said I
was proud of her, & bought her Advil,
Aquafina & candy from London Drugs. The
girl from Este Lauder standing beside me at
the counter for a minute or two
23th (Saturday) [Myles Shoes #2]
Walking along Davie. Thinking of Minori,
but passed Taeko instead. We only barely
acknowledged each other. Vesna came over
tonight. Showed her the Stardust drawings,
& for 2 hrs we looked at Serbian towns &
bridges in Google Earth
24th (Sunday) [Myles Shoes]
Met Hannah walking along Davie. Mostly
clear, chilly in the shade
25th (Monday)
Myle very charming, early this morning
Told me that yesterday she'd had the
worst migraine ever. Brought her some
fruit juice from 7 Eleven
26th (Tuesday)
Ya Jing telling me about a 50 hr! drama
she's watching, about some drummer in China
