A Face

charcoal, graphite, pastel
PK4 Illustration Board (24 ¾" x 19 ¼")

That's so cool you have someone's face.
You could also title it the sleeping canvas.
She looks very at ease.

19th (Saturday)
Myle called this morning sounding utterly
fatigued, telling me they'd taken 24 eggs out
at the clinic this morning. Text from her this
evening: 'In so much pain...'   Said 'caio' to
the 'Italian girl', for the first time in
weeks it seems

20th (Sunday)   [A Face]
Fog, overcast, but the colours lovely

22nd (Tuesday)   [A Face]
Showing Reanne the 'face', she explained that
in makeup school they made moulds of their faces
using something called alginate. 'That's so cool
you have someone's face!'   Myle called,
describing all her aches & pains, & that she was
short of breath from the conditions. 'Shh!!!
don't tell anyone, not even Reanne,' she said,
when I asked if the egg had been put back in
Fogged in again around the downtown perimeter,
along the water

23rd (Wednesday)   [A Face]
Lovely, warm autumn afternoon downtown, with a
thick bank of fog along Beach Ave. Talking to
Myle on the phone tonight, who was sounding a
lot better

24th (Thursday)
Another day of fog/sun

25th (Friday)
Numerous texts from Myle asking me to
photograph the grey Duchamp handbags at
Holt. Overcast, no fog
