Photograping Kiyeon beside the piano in the atrium
at Sinclair, for the portrait. And then a couple of
shots of her & her friend Tamiko, outside the
station, before they headed off for snow-shoeing
in North Van. Snowing downtown this evening

1st (Tuesday) [Granddaughter of Hae Geun Jeong]
Nice banter with the Starbucks girls, the Korean with
glasses & the Chinese girl just returned from a month
in Hong Kong. Bianca telling me about her boyfriend in
Hong Kong. Myle with a bad headache, after taking
vitamin & calcium supplements. Called in the
afternoon, talking $4300 handbags from Chanel. Long
talk with Kiyeon at Delany's on this rainy night,
drinking Earl Grey tea & eating chocolate chip cookies
She loved the photos of her & Tamiko

Tea with Kiyeon at Waves on Lonsdale, as the
rain poured down in buckets. Image of a large freighter
plowing through the grey water, against the downtown
skyline, the southern horizon beginning to glow with a
soft light promising sunshine. Walking with her from
Pacific Centre Mall, to London Drugs, to Granville
Mall, to Banana Republic (where I helped her choose
sunglasses), to Cardero Grocery (where she bought
peppers & spinach) Heavy rain tonight
