It had to be you
It had to be you
I wandered around and finally found

The somebody who could make me be true
Could make me be blue or even be glad
Just to be sad thinking of you

Some others I've seen might never be mean
Might never be cross or try to be boss
But they wouldn't do
For nobody else gave me a thrill

With all your faults I love you still
It had to be you, wonderful you
It had to be you

      lyrics first published in 1924
song performed in the movie 'Annie Hall' 1977

22nd (Sunday)
At Opus buying paper for the portrait. Girl at the
counter a charming girl from Persia, who was quite
interested that I was doing a portrait, & said she'd
like to see it when it was finished. Her name is
Nicky

23rd (Monday)   [It Had to be You]
Texted Reanne, 'Reanne hi, was wondering if u had
time for tea this week? Have more pics from the
book to run past u & a new collage & drawing.' She
replied, [Sure, I'm off tomorrow. How about at 12?]
[Starbucks we went before] [on Dunsmuir]

24th (Tuesday)   [It Had to be You]
Tea with Reanne at Starbucks, St. Regis, showed her
the change I made to 'Medieval Madonna', the 'Tree
of Life' collage, & pics from the book, to which
she added some good text. Showed me a custom rubber
stamp she'd just picked up around the corner. Made
a mental note to design & order one for myself next
week. Stopped by the dollar store & then walked
along Dunsmuir, pausing a moment to look up at Holy
Rosary, which seemed to impart a timeless strength
& elegance

25th (Wednesday)   [It Had to be You]
Sent Rose a copy of the collage to her Facebook
She replied, [Awww... Thank you so much!!!] [Catch
you when I'm back!!]

26th (Thursday)   [It Had to be You]
A very pleasant, perfectly cool, partly
overcast winter afternoon

27th (Friday)
Working on webpages & The Gallery 501 Rubber
Stamp. Text from Reanne, [Doing some wood burning for my
boxes.] Replied, 'Oh wow! Love that design! Can't
wait to see the whole package.' [I'm stoked! Thanks
Richard, they take 25 mins per box but it's worth
it I think]
