quite heavy on the
Symbolism, has
Assyrian art in it & a
cryptic font I found on
the web. And some
of the light u sent is in
there too.

So I see this portrait
beside the Battle Raven
as being like One : the
black raven & the white
lunar dove of Ishtar/
Inanna. A bit too much
symbolism here to
cover in a text
message, but I'm
hoping you'll like it. And
I totally love doing
these portraits of u!!

The bird image was
taken from a desert
temple wall. I'm
thinking it's an
assyrian raven/eagle/
hawk symbol. And I see
the battle raven & the
lunar dove as different
aspects of the same
entity

Yes!! So those letters
are something called
Temphis Font. They had
that cryptic feel I
was hoping to find.
Along the top it
reads 'Portrait of '
& along the side and
the bottom
'Frangelica Atherton'

Nice talk with Rose at the Robson Store,
enjoyed her trip home to New Zealand,
but said she got sick the last few days
there. She would love to have a family
she told me, but can't seem to meet
the right guy, willing to make a
commitment

place. Replied [It's okay here... as for
the neighbours, they are not so quiet, but
it's the usual thing that follows me. I
have learned to ignore it & wear
earplugs!] Charming banter with Silvia,
who gave me a couple of good lines for
the book. Said she's visiting the
Canary Islands & Italy this summer. Her
family is orginally from Venice. 'Wow!
How cool is that?'

Richard, I forgot to tell you how dope
the symbols are in your last portrait!
Very awesome! I'm not sure how I feel
about the Jamaican vibe, I always hate
it when white girls try to pull off
that vibe, it reminds me that I come
from a country that has tried to
destroy any culture other than their
own. What do you think?] Met Kiyeon at
Burrard Station, & had brunch with her
at Joyeaux. Agreed to help her out
with her English over the next few
weeks
