little discussion about the 'situation'

Some nice dialogue with the new girl at
the Market, who seemed happy when I
suggested doing a portrait of her. High
marine fog this morning, clearing in the
afternoon

Math work, UBC. Cool, overcast day

Nice little talk, around a small table at
Sinclair, with Premjit & the Korean girl,
whose name is Na-Yeon, who is very
intriguing & intellectual

Lonsdale Quay with Shari. On the Seabus back
a girl with short, wavy black hair & a mustard
yellow jacket, sitting across from us,
carefully peeling a banana. Shari later says
she thought it was obvious she had 'phallic
thoughts' on her mind as she was doing it
21st (Friday) [Eva Braun at Niagara Falls]
New Chinese girl, Kirsten, describing Mao's
tomb in Beijing. Said the Chairman looked
like 'what a candle is made from'. Chilly,
overcast, drizzling rain off & on

Another nice talk with Premjit, & then on
to Robson Market to photograph Kirsten

Finished drawing late this evening
24th (Monday)
Ride through the Park on a warm autumn
afternoon. Sitting on a bench near Brockton
Clubhouse, green acorns falling gently
through the branches, at regular intervals
Taking photographs of Na-Yeon & Premjit
downtown. Phone call from Mun Jung this
morning!
25th (Tuesday)
Bowen Island. Memorable visit to Bowen
Island this afternoon, with Na-Yeon &
Premjit. Mild, misty, foggy weather
26th (Wednesday)
Visited Mun Jung & her sister Mun-hee at
her apt on Haro. Eating slices of
grapefruit, & drinking Pepsi, with
descriptions of life on Jeju-do. Mun-Nee
was very charming. Clear autumn skies late
this afternoon, with a cool breeze
