I started a new drawing
just this morning called
'Rain Forest Fantasy'
and I'm overwhelmed
with new ideas for art,
photography & math
but i just can't decide
what i should focus on
this summer!! :(

can just see an elf like
creature in there, like a
dark yet beautiful elf]

So the basic image is
tropical hummingbirds
hovering around an
antique gramaphone
playing an old Billie
Holiday record. The
background is all
exotic greens & I'm
thinking of adding
marijuana plants & a
bong... the birds
getting high on the
weed & the music
And I'm thinking your
suggestion of a 'dark
yet beautiful elf' would fit
in beautifully with the
hummingbirds! Thank
u for the idea & you're
totally getting a co-
writing credit for this
one lol

So your idea not only fit in, but
it's a much better drawing than it
would have been without it. My
drawings with you in them are
always better than without you
In a sense they're as much your
art as they are mine. What you
bring is totally unique. No one
holds a candle to u in that way
btw I couldn't work in the
Billie Holiday concept. Would have
meant too much extra text, which
would have made it look a little
too cluttered and the bong is one
i bought at Cottonmouthyears ago
before u worked there

Exchanging texts with Fran this morning,
who has suggested I put a 'dark yet beautiful
elf' in it. Talking to Myle on the phone,
who has been suffering from terrible
migraines the last few weeks. The worst in
her life, she said. Late lunch with Susan in
New Westminster, at Hubs next to the Skytrain
station. She provided some great text for the
book. Came home and started getting texts
from Fran, six in all, describing her
reaction to the various prints I sent her
I love that woman for sure
10th (Wednesday) [Rain Forest Fantasy]
Texted Fran this morning about her owning
the latest portrait. She replied, [I would
feel terrible taking any of your gorgeous
artwork, I hope to see it in an art gallery
one day soon, I'd feel awful for separating
them, maybe when they are in that gallery you
would allow me to purchase it]

replied that things were going well, that she
was 'healing nicely', & her hand was 'almost

going to call u to meet up but had migraine
