Here's the latest installment of
'The Artist's Table: 4am'   If
you're wondering about the monkey,
I found it years ago somewhere
Since then, even though I hardly
ever move it, both hands have
broken off and its left leg is
dangling by a thread. He looks
like some casualty from the
Battle of Trafalgar

[Richard are you not sleeping?
Smoking a copious amount of
weed might help. A blend of
magnesium and melatonin might
help. I'm currently taking a
medicine called trazadone and
that helps me get to sleep
Insomnia is the worst and I'm
so sorry you're going thru
this! You definitely need more
than 2-3 hours of good sleep
I tried recording the poem and
just hated it. I think I need
a makeover, I look like a
feral swamp witch. I might try
cutting my hair a lil bit
today. The artist table is so
beautiful and colourful and I
do love the monkey! Sending
you the most restful Sunday
vibes, happy gently sleepy
vibes, big November to
remember vibes and a big
boatload of love

Nov 24   4:05am
Fran, I will definitely try the
magnesium & melatonin combo
The tossing & turning all night is
tedious and dull :(; but the odd
thing is I never feel tired when
I get up, and the energy is good
Speaking of energy, the drawing
seems to radiate a certain
magical, intense energy. Wow!
Your pose and expression are both
awesome!! It's looking like it
should be finished first week in
December. And after that the sky
is the limit in Year of the
Horse!
Sending you vibes of comfort,
affection & love   this
last week of the November to
remember

Btw, a swamp witch you are
certainly NOT, an incredibly
gifted woman you most definitely
ARE!!

[Wow   it's so epic Richard!! Thank
you so much for grabbing the cigarette
holder, it looks so chic. I promise
the melatonin and magnesium will calm
your body and help give you a relaxing

sleep. You might be able to get both
together in one tablet. I'm so excited
for the year of the horse, it will be
a most magical year. Thank you for
reminding me I'm not a swamp witch. I
can't believe how much magic and life
is in the portrait. This is my new
favourite!! Sending you warm
melatonin vibes, big spectacular
vibes, happy Monday vibes and a big
boatload of love]

[I just can't get over how beautiful
the portrait is!!]

Nov 25   2:29am
Fran, so it turns out I already had
both melatonin & magnesium in my
cupboard, that I'd totally forgotten
about. Which, starting yesterday, I
will be taking faithfully every
evening :)!
So today starting work on your
flapper dress. Which was beautiful,
and the sparkling sequins are kind
of like a nebula in themselves
It's amazing how it's all coming
together!! And the ideas keep
coming for the future work, and I'm
thinking Year of the Horse will be
epic!!
Sending you last days of November
mystical vibes, with love &
affection!! miss you so much

[Richard I'm so happy you already
have the melatonin and magnesium
let me know how they work. I have
other suggestions if they don't
help. They year of the horse will
be totally epic!!
I am obsessed with this portrait
Richard, you are a creative genius
and I don't know how you do it. I
want to step into the portrait so
badly and dance in the sky. I
you so much too. It won't be long
before we are back on our travels
navigating islands and enjoying
the spring. Saltspring is gonna be
amazing and I can't wait to hear
your future plans for creation. It
was 1 degree in the forest yesterday
and it's feeling the same today
Only a few months until we are
shooting again! Sending you big
beautiful December to remember
vibes,happy gentle Tuesday vibes,
mysterious quantum vibes and a big
boatload of love]

Nov 26   2:45am
Fran, every day that passes I feel
better because I know you're one
day closer from being out of that
toxic environment. YAHOO!! Not sure
exactly when your last day there is,

but I'm hoping you get a nice
stretch of days off before starting
on the new job. So I started work
on your flapper dress yesterday
It's a bit of a slow grind getting
all the sequins in, but it's gonna
look fabulous when it's done! I'll
send you the progress pic tomorrow
and I'm thinking that first
weekend in Dec it should be
finished. I've been thinking ahead
to next year, and I have a lot of
new ideas to share with you
For now, sending you Zen vibes of
comfort, healing & protection
w/love & affection!!!

[Richard I can imagine how tedious
the sequins are and there's so many
of the bloody things! I'm so
excited for next year's projects
and putting outfits together. It
poured so much rain yesterday on
the island and looked grey and
cozy. I think today might be the
same. Do you take breaks when
you're painting or do you do it
all in one block? I don't get any
time off between jobs because I
need the money but I'm thinking a
fresh adventure into a new job is
just as good as a rest   only 5.5
weeks until I'm done at this
toxic job
Sending you big happy green
creative vibes, gently happy
Wednesday vibes, magical quantum
vibes and a big boatload of love]

Nov 27   2:56am
Fran, so back in the day I had
this routine, more or less, for
years. Get up at 9, take a bath
head downtown, come back, work
on the drawing a few hours,
head out again, come home, eat,
clean up and work on the
drawing 2 or 3 hours. These
days it's get up at 1am, relax
in the chair sipping tea,
while reading and listening to
jazz. Then editing on the
computer for a couple of hours
then work on the drawing 6 to
11 or so. Which I'll be doing
today, finishing off your
dress. I have to say Fran,
this drawing feels more
magical every day, and I'm so
curious to hear how people
interpret it. I sit here
every morning, mesmerized by
your magic!!
Just 5 1/2 weeks to go! and I
know after that you'll be
feeling SO much better :)!
Till then, sending you a
steady flow of protective Zen

vibes, with so much love &
affection!!!

[Wow! The sequins are so detailed
Richard! That's a lot of work!!
What kind of tea do you sip on?
I think my favourite tea has got
to be lady grey in the summer
and Chai in the winter. Did the
melatonin help you sleep? It
might take a few days to really
take effect. This is the most
magical portrait ever, I'm very
excited for people's responses!
I had a bad chemical reaction at
work yesterday and the left side
of my face has puffed up. I
don't mind the puffiness as it
hides the wrinkles :) Not long
until I'm in that cozy office. I
am absolutely obsessed with this
portrait, I absolutely love it
I miss you and can't wait for our
next creative adventure. Sending
happy big quantum vibes, magical
cozy island vibes, December to
remember vibes and a big boatload
of love]

Nov 28   3:07am
Fran, TGIF!! And I'm counting
down the minutes till you're out
of that toxic environment; and
I'm convinced that your health
will bloosom next year!! in
every way
So it looks like it'll take an
extra day to finish off the
sequins in your dress. But when
it's done it'll look fabulous!
The sequins sparkle and resemble
stars in a nebula, or electrons
in a nucleus, and they twist
around like strands of DNA,
which fit perfectly into the
overall theme of the drawing
It's incredible you chose that
particular dress!! That
connection yet again
Anyway, I promise to send you a
progress pic of the completed
dress tomorrow. Till then
sending you Zen vibes of
comfort, in anticipation of
fabulous health in 26,   w/
love & affection!!!

Btw, I drink an organic tea
called Silk Dragon, that I mix
& match with a tea from North
Africa, and this other tea from
Japan. Don't feel quite right
till I've had my tea in the
morning

[Yay for TGIF Richard! only 8
hours of work until freedom and
a well deserved sleep in. I had

another chemical reaction at
work yesterday and had to leave
early but I'm determined to
make it thru the whole day
today! I absolutely adore the
comparison of the sequins to
stars in a nebula and electrons
in a nucleus and the strands of
DNA. You have a brilliant mind!
Your tea blend sounds absolutely
delicious and green tea has
Itheanine in it which relaxes
and calms the mind. Also your
tea is very multicultural and I
love that! I haven't been able
to drink so much caffeine on my
meds as it causes me anxiety
Time to switch to decaf I think
It has rained all week on the
island and the trees are
looking bare, cozy comforting
wintry vibes have arrived
November has certainly been a
November to remember and I know
December will be just as
magical. Sending you happy
vibrant Friday vibes,
mysterious sparkly nebula
vibes, cozy wintry island
vibes and a big boatload of
love]

Nov 29   3:48am
As much as I admire your
strength & fortitude, I'm
worried :( sick about
that environment you're in :(
I'm gonna mail you some extra
xmas cash. If you feel you
need to quit a bit earlier at
that job, do it. If you feel
you'll be ok, just save it
for our adventures next
spring. Just promise me you
won't push yourself to a
breaking point at that job

So the dress is finished!
And there's this splash of
colour just under the
necklasce that I didn't pay
too much attention to till
yesterday when I had to
draw it in. When I realized
this orange/yellow/red
reflexion of light as a
microcosm in color and
shape to the nebula behind
you, and the colours matched
the colors on Rothko's
painting!! There's more
simply coincidence happening
here, Fran. I can't explain
it, it's a mystery, but it
feels totally positive :)!
Anyway, starting work on the
old suitcase today. Lots of
metaphors there for sure to
