24th (Sunday)
Talking with Yumi this morning, arranged
to meet on Tuesday. Text from Myle, 'I'm
feeling better but getting bored :('
Heavy rain, damp penetrating cold

25th (Monday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Talking to Myle, who's feeling much
better & plans to finish her two weeks at
Holt, after giving her notice next month
Her favourite show is The Bachelor, she
told me

26th (Tuesday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Showing Yumi 'Scorpion' this afternoon,
with five other drawings, & some photos
from '2012'. Enjoyable & informative
listening to her impressions. Got her
to enter a few of her remarks into her
iPhone, which I'll copy into the
notebook later. Walked with her through
the rain & wind to Chapters where she
was meeting friends

27th (Wednesday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Long talks with Myle on the phone at home,
& on the cell in a dark little nook of
Seymour. Having another anxiety attack she
told me, & spent most of the day in bed
with the curtains closed. Attractive girl
at the dollar store. Complimented her on
her lovely blue scarves against a white
blouse. 'Thank you,' she replied

28th (Thursday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Talking to Myle from Royal Centre, & 3 or
4 times this afternoon for what must have
been an hour, told me she was giving her
notice, & was feeling much better than
yesterday. Cold, steady rain

March
1st (Friday)   [Girl from Borneo]
More long phone conversations with
Myle, who was at home trying to get in
the mood for cleaning, & was in as
playful mood as I can remember. Steady
rain continues

2nd (Saturday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Met Eve at Wall Centre & spent the next
couple of hours at White Spot on Drake,
eating hamburgers & poutine, & discussing
various art projects. Had a lovely time
Cold, driving rain

3rd (Sunday)
On the balcony in Abbotsford, talking to
Myle on the phone, who was hiding behind a
parking meter on Howe, hoping co-workers
from Holt wouldn't see her. Emailed me
photos of the coats she bought, later in
the evening

4th (Monday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Talking to Reanne for the first time in
a week. Showed me a Photoshop image of
her & Bieksa in Paris. Talked to Myle on
the phone, who is sounding quite mellow,
thinking of taking a vacation. Loaned
Yumi 'The King's Speech', which she was
quite excited about

5th (Tuesday)   [Girl from Borneo]
One step closer to a portrait of Arial. I
suggested I take photos later in the month
& she nodded yes. Texted Eve an update on
the portrait. She texted back 'Great! Did
you like those licorice candy?'

6th (Wednesday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Talking to Myle on the phone, walking
along Burrard through a light rain

7th (Thursday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Text from Myle this morning saying she was
coming down with a migraine. Text from
Eve this afternoon : 'Have u decided what
to eat next time? Haha'

8th (Friday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Myle called at noon describing a bad
experience that morning at a Vietnamese
restaurant on Fraser. Pleasant chat with
the Indian woman at Quizno's, Harbour
Centre, who has a charming personality
Bright spring sunshine

9th (Saturday)   [Girl from Borneo]
Sunny, quite warm

10th (Sunday)
Reanne looking beautiful, but tired,
this morning. Battling allergies she told
me. Back & forth this morning & afternoon
texting Eve. Overcast, cooler

12th (Tuesday)
Reanne describing a dream she had, with
two brown eagles fighting, near the
summit of the Empire State Bldg. Talking
to Myle, who was in Richmond buying a
mixture of some Oriental medicine

21st (Thursday)
Afternoon with Eve. Showed her the
portait, & then headed off for Broadway,
pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns & sausage at
Ihop. Walked back along the north side of
Broadway in the warm sun, Eve taking
photos now & then, between applications
of lip balm. She had two in her pocket,
with empty ones scattered in her apt,
she said. Spent time at DeSerres
browzing, & then walked across Granville
Bridge in the early evening sunshine
Realize now how much we have in common
with regard to our opinions & values
