Showed Roula the portrait in the
north-east staircase at the Bay. She
was VERY happy with it. Told her it
was the best portrait I've done, &
that as a woman she was one in a
million. SO close to kissing her
She's going to England, & won't be
back for 3 weeks. Weather even more
perfect than Tuesday. Two women working
at easels near Beaver Lake. It was
Karenza, & the South African girl!

On the Skytrain an intriguing girl
with a tanned complexion, a lovely
mouth & nose in profile, medium
length blonde hair, fairly tall & a
little plump around the waist, with

gallery on 41st. Helping her compile
a list of words that would help her
describe the art work. A perfect

weeks. Talked to one of the sisters
(the artist) at Fortune Wok. She's
been working in London for 3 years as
a graphic artist. Had a great
discussion about art. Likes Monet &
Jackson Pollock

'Mostly Martha' this afternoon at
Tinseltown. Myle back from Hong Kong
Told me, 'There was a typhoon there
& all the malls were closed.'

Talked to Shab for the first time in
several weeks. Described a drawing
she was working on dealing with girls
who starve themselves. Teachers
critique of her work. Roula back from
England. Suggested doing a portait of
her wearing some sort of turban
Discussed a few possibilities. Said
her thin face may not look good if
the'turban' was too large & round

apparently needs hairspray. Fog
lifted early this afternoon, gave me
a chance to ride through the Park
Walking along Davie, an attractive
girl (street kid) calls out, 'Can
I have a piece of chicken?'
