Reanne saying we should have coffee together
next week, that she wants to run some ideas
past me. Told Justin, her fiance, about my
Khadafi idea, & that he wants to use him as a
subject for future work. The blossoms at
Burrard Station in full bloom. A lot of
photographic activity there, under the blossoms
Myle called from work, complaining she had
stomach cramps & lower back pain. Shortly after
Kiyeon called from Korea!
7th (Thursday) [Girl from Zamboanga City, Mindinao]
Walk through Shaughnessy, in lovely warm sun
with a cool breeze. The blossoms were lovely
Myle called from home, telling me about the
latest LV handbag. 'I have to buy something'
she told me

Myle called this evening to describe the Chanel
handbag she bought this afternoon

Talking to Reanne, planning her wedding for early
fall : to Myle, who was being teased by Cindy for
all the spending she does, & who thinks of her
handbags as 'investments' : to Natalie, who told me
she might need me for another facial demonstration
Masters golf this afternoon

Some nice drama at the Masters, won by Schwartzel
Kaori at Donbury this afternoon. Very happy to see
her again. Cold, wet, heavy overcast
11th (Monday) [Girl from Zamboanga City]
Talking to Bonnie Fu, who liked the portraits of
Kiyeon & thought she was beautiful. Also liked
'Girl in a Spanish Hat'. She looked great in a thin
leopard print sweater. Warm in the sunshine today
12th (Tuesday) [Girl from Zamboanga City]
Myle describing her 'nightmare' which was her free-
flying above Niagara Falls with money strapped to her
Apparently someone was chasing her, & she thought of
dropping the money over the Falls so no one else
could spend it. Talking with Reanne about things
Canucks. Gave Kaori the four Fuji prints. She was
charming. Her full name is Kaori Magario. (The 'r's
pronounced as 'l', she told me
13th (Wednesday)
Looking for Sachiyo at Ebi Ten. Couldn't see her &
then someone grabbed my arm. It was her, in a pink
t-shirt. Long talk with Myle tonight who was telling
me Bianca & her boyfriend...
14th (Thursday) [Girl from Zamboanga City]
Filthy wet day with hail & heavy rain that fell
all day. Wonderful talk with Kaori as wet snow &
rain was falling pouring down outside. Gave her
the two other Fuji prints. Was confused by the
Kanji on 'Crucified Artist', & wrote it down on
the back of a receipt to show it around. (Hoping
someone can figure it out). More hockey talk
with Reanne, who invited me to the pub to watch
a future game
17th (Sunday)
Iram telling me that she's set up to start the
seahorse drawing. Considering doing it literally
as a horse in the ocean. Picked up a chicken
salad at Joyeaux for Myle late this afternoon
Eve considering drawing the seahorse as the head
of a chess piece. Nice win for Canucks tonight

18th (Monday)
Reanne saying she's having trouble coming up with
an idea for the seahorse. Myle annoyed with her
co-workers, especially Cindy... Bought her some
Smarties from London Drugs. Eve hoping to start the
seahorse drawing on Wednesday. Myle called tonight,
worried about the Cindy situation
21st (Thursday)
Talked to the Korean girl downstairs for the first
time in a few weeks. Didn't know what a seahorse
was but said she'd check it out in the dictionary
Eve describing her visit to an alligator farm in
Borneo, & how her grandmother made python soup
from a snake killed in the backyard. Myle called
tonight, in tears about Cindy
