7th (Tuesday)
Loaned Reanne the 'Vicky Cristina' movie. Told
me she's very close to finishing the seahorse
Clear, cool weather continues

8th (Wednesday)   [ESPN Radio]
Discussing with Reanne ideas for bathroom design
& a theme for the next artistic collaboration,
which could involve her co-worker. Suggested
'ravens' or 'rain forest fantasy'. Black girl
walking past the big stone wall on Davie, with
the most beautiful face. Heavy overcast, rain

9th (Thursday)   [ESPN Radio]
Text from Reanne this morning saying she had a
problem with her asthma last night & had to go
to Emergency. Bought her some cookie crumb
chocolate, that we snacked on as she described
to me what happened. Probably won't finish the
seahorse till she returns from Toronto on the
22nd. Met Linda at London Drugs, who is visiting
from Nelson! Had a wonderful talk with her, as
she was showing me artwork, & various features
on her iPhone

10th (Friday)   [ESPN Radio]
Reanne telling me she worked on the seahorse
before coming to work, that it's virtually
finished, but that it was still wet & she
couldn't bring it. Recalled to her that the
idea I couldn't remember yesterday was 'Scorpion
of the Womb', which she put into her iPhone
away. Also mentioned about developing a concept
around 'Hanging Heart' within a black hole. She
took to the concept right away, & expressed
ideas about possible ways to interpret it. Nice
little chat with the girl from Canton, at Anna
Sui

11th (Saturday)   [ESPN Radio]
Strange glow of sunshine through the windows
early this morning, overcast & cool afterwards

12th (Sunday)   [ESPN Radio]
Thinking that Eve's last name would be Chan or
Chin. Turns out to be Chen. Wants to do an
artistic project with a them of 'shrunken'
Overcast this morning, clear & cool in the
afternoon

13th (Monday)   [ESPN Radio]
Down the Rabbit Hole in the small hours,
conceived an idea for 'Scorpion'. Reanne's
crucifixes & a black hole are components
Overcast this morning, clear & cool in the
afternoon

14th (Tuesday)   [ESPN Radio]
Gave Sachiyo some chocolate & gin as a
Valentine gift. Not quite sure how she feels
about it

15th (Wednesday)   [ESPN Radio]
16th (Thursday)
The Oriental woman at Sinclair, looking
good with her hair up, high heels, walking
across the floor of the atrium. Nice to admire
but how do I meet her?

17th (Friday)   [ESPN Radio]
Photos along Granville as a rainstorm swept
through downtown

18th (Saturday)   [ESPN Radio]
Rainstorm continuing this morning, sunshine in
the afternoon. At Safeway, Robson, a plump
African girl with a nice face & an unusual
name that sounded like 'Sissy', asked if I
spoke French

19th (Sunday)   [ESPN Radio]
Last chat with Eve before she leaves for
Borneo on Tuesday. Gave me a large chunk of
gum, a coupon for a free oversize mug, &
promised to bring back something 'intriguing'
in lieu of a scorpion. Talked to the Indian
girl at the Bay. Her name is Sukhpreet
Told me she's living in Richmond now, &
taught me how to say hello in Punjabi

20th (Monday)   [ESPN Radio]
Light rain, chilly

21st (Tuesday)   [ESPN Radio]
Dropped into the 'white store' at Hastings &
Howe. Asked the Oriental girl if I could
photograph the orchid. She was quite nice
Told me how she had helped it to blossom, &
I asked if she had seen my photographing
outside

22nd (Wednesday)   [ESPN Radio]
Reanne not back at work. Talking to Megan
(the girl from Canton) & Reanne's co-worker,
who told us she was from Sask. 'Where in
Sask?' I asked. 'Moose Jaw,' she replied
Born in the same hospital, Providence. Told
me it was a hospital for Veterans during
the War, which I didn't know

23rd (Thursday)   [ESPN Radio]
Reanne back from Toronto. Gave her two 6X8
prints. Liked the Granville neon in the rain,
loved the Bieksa print. Showed her the ghost
sign from the south-east exit of the temple
Between us, with the help of Google, figured
out it was an advertisement for a silent
movie called 'Grandma's Boy' by Harold Lloyd,
showing at the old Capital Theatre in 1922

24th (Friday)
Heavy, wet snow falling for an hour or so
this morning
