Showed Anne the photos, &
gave her a little raspberry-
flavoured chocolate. Met
Janis coming out of the lane
on her bike. Had been
working overtime, & was
hoping to get a drafting
position at UBC. Took Shari
some med for diaherra. Was
amused when I asked if her
pj's were satin. Sweet-
smelling springtime air
this evening, walking past

Anne putting shoes on a
mannikin. Had a long talk
about art, the fashion
industry, TV. Talked about
how she was in fashion
design, but hated the
business side. She's
orginally from Sarnia. Trees

they earned 3$. But, she
said, sales of t-shirts &

perceptive remarks, & seemed
to like 'Factory Girl' & the
drawing with 'detail'
Seemed to appreciate 'Eva
Braun in Miami'. Dropped by
The Bay & saw Roula. Had a
long talk with Melinda who
showed me the ring she
wanted to buy on the 3rd
floor, then sat down on the
steps of the old staircase
& showed her drawings, &
she told me of images she
remembered as a child on
Kingsway. Talked to Susan
on the phone

third priority' was to visit

Beautiful white flowers in a

counter so I could smell
