15th (Thursday)
Lisa called from her cousin's in
Salmon Arm

16th (Friday)
Galiano Island   Took the 'round
trip'. Light rain falling a few
minutes on Mt Galiano; with large
patches of blue sky, glimpses of
the Olympics, & circling bald eagles,
it was a magical spring picture

Armita working this afternoon. White
shirt & a tie with a Snoopy & palm
tree print. Told her she 'looked as
lovely as sunrise on the Caspian
Sea', adding, 'I wrote that myself.'
I think she was flattered, sort of
laughed & then thanked me

Susan visited tonight. Showed her
slides of Lisa, Bea, & Misty; all
pastels under the bed, Bitches
of Gen X, & Odyssey. Of the pastels
liked 'Stellar Nursery'. Had
intelligent comments about all the
work, & photos. Looking at Odyssey
when all of a sudden she noticed
a breast was showing. She laughed
& said 'A guy would have noticed
that right away.'

Finished pastel early this evening,
then walked to Bojangles at Robson
& Denman through a drizzling rain
Reading Hiroshige at the counter
by the window. Girl behind me
working on a crossword puzzle,
while a young woman with orange
pants, & a sexy stride, walked into
the corner store. A brief, sweet
smell of chocolate on Denman. Cool,
breezy evening

2nd (Monday)
Talked to Lisa on the phone from
Salmon Arm

3rd (Tuesday)
Went to UBC with Zonia. Dark ale
at Pit Pub, & then walked to Tower
Beach, along the water, struggled
up a muddy path to the park, &
then along Marine Dr back to the
parkade. Near Tower Beach found a
swing with a wooden seat hanging
from a large branch projecting
over the stones of the beach
Took turns pushing each other
