Dropped in on Reanne, talking Canucks. Planning to
meet for tea on Thursday. Deeksha was totally
charming this morning. Ponytail, & wearing a
t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on the front. Asked me,
[How is RainCity?] Email from Kiyeon, who is
visiting Vancouver in 2 days! Showing Kana & the
girl from Saitima, the portrait of Kaori from four
years ago. Both girls were charming, one looking
forward to the World Cup tomorrow; the other could
care less (Kana). Having thoughts again of doing
her portrait. Preparing the BMP files for the next
edit
5th (Sunday)
A surreal sort of day in Vancouver, began with a
high overcast of smoke from forest fires, casting
an erie sort of amber light on the city. A large
crowd outside Sheraton, Wall Centre, cheering the
American World Cup team as they were getting on the
bus. Later in the evening, a view from the skytrain
of the stadium, the sun a clearly defined orange
disc between the steel beams & cables above the
roof, burning through a smokey orange haze
