[Richard how are you
doing? My brother said
shelves are a little
empty out there.]

Hey Fran   I was
thinking about you just
around the time you
texted! Put the
finishing touches on
your portrait today &
you look FABULOUS

[I can't wait to see it]

Do you want to see it
tonite or would you
rather wait till
tomorrow?

[I absolutely want to see
it right now, although
it's like Christmas eve
right now and
tomorrow when I see it
will be more like
Christmas day.
Anticipation is
everything]

Awesome!

one   Thanks so much
for sending the pic(s)

Sending the outline

couple of hours to edit
them

Trusting that you're
keeping safe &
soundly away from
those nasty corona

things!

[Oh wow Richard it's
magnificent   I adore
it!!!]

[I'm trying my best, wish
everyone would get on
board]

So later this morning I'm starting a new portrait of you,
from the pic you sent with the fur coat. I didn't look at
that picture too closely until after I'd finished
portrait of Anna, but when I did...   Wow! It is
absolutely STUNNING!

Planning to do it with extra soft European pastels on
paper that has a fairly rough texture. I have an interesting
idea for the background, and I'm hoping it'll be one
of the best portraits of you ever. I'll let you know how
it's coming along
next week sometime

Mar 23
So I had a few other ideas for the background of the portrait
but I thought it would be intriguing to have your image framed
by the doors of one of those old style cage elevators. There's
a nostalgic, almost romantic quality to them, that I think suits
the mood of the drawing.

And the portrait has such a powerful, striking quality it needed a
title that matched it. I was thinking 'Frangelexotica' with an x
at first. It didn't look right or quite feel right I thought, but if you
prefer that title instead I can easily fix it.

[This is so cool, see the creation take place picture by picture!
I am so blown away by your art Richard!]
