The pictures from Alcatraz made
me think of pure oppression
The barbed wire was the cherry
on top
It made me think of an asylum
The lonliest asylum in the universe
filled with murderers
It looks despairingly hopeless
Like the most unstable place
in the world

So here's a few shots I took at Alcatraz a
long time ago. Back then, as a photographer,
I was framing shots well, but way too many
were over-exposed! :( I look back and wonder
how could I not realize that!? :( Anyway,
at least these few turned out ok. Would love
you to add some of your text to these images,
a word, a phrase or sentence, coz I love your
written interpretations of visual images!!
The other two shots were taken 18 years
later. The first is from up high, from some
district called Russian Hill. The other is one
of those wonderful, classic, work-of-art towers
they built back in the day. My ultimate
fantasy would be that we had two adjacent
penthouse apts on the top floor!! How I would
LOVE to photograph you in San Fransisco!!!

considering re-opening it? Guessing he's
planning to fill the prison cells with homeless

cisco! There's magic in the city, and magic in
