30th (Sunday)
A small measure of redemption this morning. Sunny,
cold. Kiyeon called just before the 'Magic Forest'
Exchanged a couple of text messages on Skytrain, &
then talked on the phone after I got home, about 11:30
31st (Monday) [Portrait of Ki Yeon Jeong]
Sunny, cold. Sachiyo saying that since she lost her
iPhone, she feels 'freer'. She doesn't have to make
calls, or take calls
February
1st (Tuesday) [Portrait of Ki Yeon Jeong]
Text from Myle early this morning. Told me her program
'failed' & that I might not recognize her. Lighthouse
Park with Ki Yeon this afternoon, & then dinner at
Joyeaux, & tea at J.J. Beans on Alberni. Cold weather
continues
2nd (Wednesday) [Portrait of Ki Yeon Jeong]
Myle back from Hong Kong! Her hair very black, & with
bangs again. Told her that her face seemed thinner
somehow, and it looked like she hadn't gained a pound
Told me about everything she'd purchased & eaten
while there. Reanne telling me she's working on the
alternative 'graphic' version of Oriental Horses
Another wonderful couple of hours with Ki Yeon at
Sinclair, & then corn soup & fried rice at Next's
with Myle, showing me little videos of her nephew on
her iPhone. Year of the Tiger ends
3rd (Thursday) [Portrait of Ki Yeon Jeong]
Year of the Rabbit begins with a mild, wet day. Myle
tried to call just before I got home, & talked to
Kiyeon on the phone later in the evening. Told me she
was talking from the bathroom. 'Really? So am I.'
